“Physical Education is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, It is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity”. It really occupies the first place in our lives. It is an educational course related of maintaining the human body through physical exercises. Its goal is to improve and maintain students' current health and set them on a path to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout their lives.

The College sport teams participated in the various tournaments under the auspices of Anna University and Invitation Tournaments organised by other Colleges and have brought laurels to the institution. The Department is also proud to have organised various tournaments which not only improves the sporting talent of the students but also help the students to improve upon their organizational and leadership qualities.

Athletics, Badminton, Ball badminton, Chess, Cricket, Handball, Kabaddi, Foodball, Table tennis & Volleyball participated in the Anna University Zonal and Inter Zonal Tournaments.

• Organized Anna University Zone-18 Zonal Ball Badminton Women Tournament in the years of following, 2013-14,2015-16,2016-17,2017-18 .

• Organized Anna University Zone-18 Zonal Hand Ball Men Tournament in the year 2014-15.

• Table Tennis Women team participated in the Table Tennis Tournament held at Regional Campus Anna University, Tirunelveli on 28th of August 2017 and has secured the fourth place.

• Hand Ball Men team participated in the Hand Ball Zonal tournament held at PSR College of Engineering, Sivakasi on 1st and 2nd September 2017 and secured the Third place.

• Volley Ball Women team participated in the Zonal Volley Ball Tournament held at Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli on 7th and 8th of September 2017 and has secured the third place.

• We congragulate M.Kumar of 1st year Mechanical who won the first place both in Shot put and Discus Throw and I.Niffensha of final year Geo-Informatics who secured the fourth place in Hammer Throw in the Anna University , Zonal Atheletic Meet that was held in Mepco Schlenk Engineering College ,Sivakasi from 8th to 10th of October 2017.

• M.Kumar of 1st year Mechanical has also secured third place in Shotput and second place in Discus Throw in the Anna University , InterZonal Atheletic Meet that was held in Adhiyamaan Engineering College ,Hosur from 28th and 29th of October 2017.

• M.Kumar has secured Ist place in Discus Throw and Shotput in 32nd Tamilnadu Inter District Junior Atheletics Championship held at Madurai from 1st to 3rd September 2017.

• M.Kumar has secured Ist place in Discus Throw and Shotput in 31st Tamilnadu State Junior Atheletics Championship held at Ramanad from 13th to 15th October 2017.

• M.Kumar has secured Ist place in Discus Throw in 29th South zone Junior Atheletics Championship held at Thiruvananthapuram at 23rd September 2017.

• M.Kumar has secured Vth place in Discus Throw in 33rd National Junior Atheletics Championship held at Vijayawada from 16th to 20th November 2017.

• T.Siva Ramakrishnan of 1st yr Civil has secured winners position in the 4th Senior State Netball Championship on March 2018 and have also participated in the South Zone National Netball Championship and secured fourth place.

• T.Siva Ramakrishnan has also participated in the Interzone Senior National Netball Championship at Delhi and secured the runners position.
