The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2009. Mechanical Engineering is a key engineering that supports technologies related to tools and machinery. The department instills among the students the values, skills, leadership and team spirit for comprehensive and wholesome personality. It also promotes entrepreneurial interest among the students and creates fervor for use of Engineering in addressing societal concerns. The department offers B.E. Programmes in English Medium and Tamil Medium.
